"This piece is titled Resistance is Power. I wanted to include the Black power fist while incorporating recognizable queer elements to empower queer BIPOC. The fist breaks through the ground, growing and changing, all the way down to its roots. 2025 is rooted in the soil and makes a nod to grassroots organizing. The connection between human and earth is a reference to indigenous ways of knowing.
